Our client is seeking a dedicated Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper to join their Mississauga-based finance team. In this role, you'll be responsible for full-cycle accounting duties, as well as assisting in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.

Responsibilities
ability to navigate all aspects of accounting functions including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
strong handle of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
Oversee reconciliation processes for general ledger, bank accounts, and customer rebates.
Process and manage expense reports, accruals, GST / QST returns, EHT / WSIB premiums, and vendor invoices.
Assist with annual audit processing and provide audit-related documentation.
Handle sales invoicing, payment applications, collections, and brokerage invoice filing.
Maintain records for Health and Benefits and assist with the vendor relationship.
Perform ad hoc reporting as required.
Accurately record currency exchange and manage miscellaneous AP / AR items.
Prepare and review accounting reports to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and participate in process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in all aspects of the accounting process and senior bookkeeping.
Strong knowledge of accruals, general ledger reconciliation,
Solid AR / AP process experience is required.
Capable of assisting in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in the distribution industry is an asset.
