Position Summary : DIRECTOR The Director is accountable for and to the organization and responsible for the general management of Treatment Center Ltd.

and its programs and responsible for the direct supervision of program supervisors and front-line staff. Included in the responsibilities of the position, the Director directs, delegates, and coordinates various activities involved with the operation of the agency including the development, maintenance, and coordination of professional relationships with the community, funders, and other stakeholders.

Additionally, the Director ensures that the healing (treatment) needs of persons served are met through overseeing planning and implementation of service planning.

This role is considered in a liaison capacity as the Director is primarily responsible for coordinating services with Case Workers, medical personnel, educational facilities, and any additional resources such as counseling and recreational activities.

The Director may also fulfill front-line program needs in terms of scheduling family contact, transportation and / or ensuring that children have a voice.

The Director is responsible for the direct supervision of those acting in the roles of Aboriginal Resource Person(s), and Child Care Workers.

The Director may provide and / or delegate the direct supervision of all front-line childcare workers at the agency in their absence.

Additionally, the Director maintains the functioning of the Finance Department and is responsible for all facets of fiscal management of the agency.

Key Roles and Responsibilities : Direct and participate in the development and implementation of organizational and program based goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.

Demonstrate leadership in developing, enhancing, and maintaining standards of excellence in the treatment and ethical conduct of persons served in accordance with CAC standards and the agency's mission and objectives.

Develop and implement organizational and program goals (in accordance with the strategic plan), serve as a consultant for the agency and maintain overall liability and accountability for the organization.

Fiscal management including the disbursement of funds to employees, persons served, and accounts payable; maintaining financial records and reconciliations for all organizational financial matters;

and managing financial inquiries from funders, taxation, etc. Serve as a clinical consultant for the Supervisor and agency staff in the development of Healing Plans and therapeutic interventions with person served, review and address concerns arising from person served and / or employees, and address employment concerns.

Ensure orientation of new staff members, training, and on-going learning of staff members. Liaise between persons served, family members, guardians, treatment teams, medical and academic professionals, serve as supervisor to the Aboriginal Resource Person and Child Care Workers.

Qualifications and Requirements : Any combination of education and experience including a degree, diploma, and / or certificate in a related field;

Addiction, Mental Health and Social Work, experience both in administrative three 3 years related experience in human services.

NECHI INSTITUTE - Indigenous Addictions Services Diploma (IASD) Year 1 and 2 Ability to assess program needs; analyze, identify, and resolve various concerns including administrative and clinical concerns, ability to communicate effectively.

Willingness and ability to work long and irregular hours under stressful conditions. Ability to delegate responsibilities and achieve program success through others.

Be dedicated to maintaining exact standards of professional competence and integrity. Ability to manage financial matters in a manner as recognized by approved accounting practices.

Be of the Metis or Aboriginal heritage and / or knowledgeable regarding culture, language, specific issues, customs, and traditions specific to the heritage.
