Job Description
The Senior Technical Records Controller provides support to the Technical Records Controllers through coaching, training and problem solving on work related issues.
Conducts verifications to ensure that data entered against the airframe, engine and APU components and their respective maintenance status, in the company’s electronic tracking system, is accurate, up to date, and conforms to regulatory requirements.
Performs Technical Records Controllers tasks, as necessary. Reports to Manager of Technical Records department.
- Ensures all maintenance records conform to Transport Canada norms and regulations;
- Verification of routine items includes : Modification / Inspection / Replacement accomplished per Service Bulletin, Airworthiness Directive, and vendor recommendation;
- Verification of accomplishment of repetitive inspections and auditing of time controlled components;
- Provides training and coaching of other Technical Records Controllers;
- Prepare and / or review documentation to demonstrate / validate an accurate account of back to birth traceability for Life Limited Parts that are part of airframe or any of its major assemblies (Engine / APU / Landing Gear / Thrust Reverser);
- Respond to queries regarding technical records data;
- Participate in compiling and verifying documentation for aircraft or assembly lease return / sale and aircraft importations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma;
- Airline experience in Technical records and Aviation IT Systems with solid general aviation
- knowledge (5 years minimum);
- Knowledge on the Canadian Aviation Regulations and Standards
- Knowledge on aircraft manufacturer’s maintenance control documents (MPD, CMR, ALI
- etc..);
- Knowledge of Excel, Word;
- Bilingualism (English / French) written and spoken would be an asset;
- Good organizational methods and initiative and detail-oriented.
