Job Description

Our client, a regulatory body of Canada, is hiring for a Manager of Corporate Affairs to join their team on a full time, permanent position! This is a fully remote position, however the successful candidate must reside within Ontario.

The successful candidate will lead the organization's corporate functions including compliance, procurement, facilities, and administrative operations. Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage the Corporate Affairs Unit, developing and executing strategies.
  • Oversee compliance with legislation, regulations, directives, and guidelines.
  • Manage procurement, ensuring compliance with College policies and legislation.
  • Oversee facilities management, including security, maintenance, and lease-related matters.
  • Manage administrative operations, including records management and office inventory.
  • Develop and manage project plans in collaboration with the Project Management Office.
  • Ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation, trends, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in corporate services, including procurement, administrative operations, and facilities.
  • Knowledge of compliance functions, including ATIP and the Library and Archives of Canada Act.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure management.
  • Experience in contract administration.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Strong coaching and management skills.
  • Understanding of project management principles.
