We are looking for an OTA (Over-the-Air) o wner , reporting to the connectivity & application development department head.
You will be responsible for overseeing the global implementation, product development, and roadmap of over-the-air updates across multiple hardware platforms, including vehicles and apparel.
This role involves leading strategic initiatives to enhance OTA capabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving alignment with business goals.
The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of OTA systems and extensive experience in product management, ensuring successful, customer-centric updates aligned with model year launches.
Connectivity is a concept that touches on both digital, notably with the creation of mobile applications, and the interweaving of the digital experience with BRP's recreational vehicles and the intelligent use of recorded data.
We need to bring new value-added concepts to our customers, dealers and internal teams. Your role will be to enrich the customer experience through innovation around connectivity.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO :
- Manage global implementation of OTA, product development, delivery, and readiness, particularly focusing on OTA (over-the-air) update readiness and feasibility in new hardware (vehicle & apparel).
- Build roadmap for OTA readiness and feasibility in upcoming vehicle / apparel lines.
- Drive initiative for OTA capability adding to new ECU.
- Manage and drive steering committee decisions and discussions for OTA.
- Manage OTA stakeholders / managers for different teams.
- Intake any changes to OTA functionality and behavior.
- Define the OTA vision and strategy, creating the product roadmap, and closely collaborating with operational and vehicle teams to plan upcoming OTA releases.
- Define the product roadmap, backlog, and guide the product owner and execution teams on priority.
- Lead product criteria (user roles, needs, wants and goals), user story mapping, backlog, value proposition / lean canvas, roadmap, sprint planning / review, iterative releases, product acceptance criteria, and ensure associated business benefit value.
- Work closely with customer experience team to deploy customer centric priority updates.
- Plan and align OTA changes by model year launch.
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES :
- 7+ years’ experience in the OTA field
- 10+ years’ experience in product management
- Key understanding of OTA functionality and development
- Experience in Designing program milestone deliverables to establish OTA lifecycle.
- Experience in performing budget analysis for new functionality intake across different product lines and model year.
- Experience working closely with Cross-Functional teams (i.e., Finance, Quality, Engineering, Marketing, etc.) to understand and provide necessary information to drive business goals.
