Heidelberg Materials is developing North Americas first full-scale carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) solution for the cement industry at its Edmonton plant.
Up to one million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) will be captured, transported by pipeline, and permanently sequestered in deep saline storage formations.
This project will include a 120MW combined heat and power facility that will provide the heat required for the process as well as producing enough electricity for both the new and existing plant as well as exporting excess low emission electricity to the grid.
This project will be a critical component that will allow Heidelberg Materials and our customers to reduce emissions in the built environment and support net-zero carbon concrete offerings.
Heidelberg Materials is seeking a CCUS Project Controls Analyst for this new facility based at our Cement Plant inEdmonton, AB.
The position of Project Controls Analyst will lead and coordinate all project control functions including scheduling, budgeting, contracts management, and risk management.
This position will be responsible for the project document control and reporting. This position will reside at the project office in Edmonton, Alberta.
What youll get to do :
Coordinate the project control functions
Maintain project document control system and project filing
Coordinate and contribute to the reporting process alongside Project Manager and Project Director for weekly meetings, management meetings, and steering committee meetings
Lead and coordinate the schedule update and revision processes
Maintain the project risk and uncertainty analyses and contribute and maintain recovery plans when required
Participate in project audits and group review processes to support the execution of the project
Who we are looking for :
5-8 years of experience in project controls with either deep scheduling or estimating experience
5+ years managing a project controls team preferred
Four-year university degree in related field preferred
Working experience with EPC's (favorable) or other large contract execution models.
Strong estimating and scheduling skills
Advanced understanding of software for cost and schedule control
Ability to manage through others, both internal and external to the project
