Responsibilities :
- Report to the Vice President, Operations and support the VP in all activities related to general oversight and supervision of a compounding pharmacy
- Undertake Designated Manager responsibilities established by the policies, guidelines & regulations of the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Ensure S.O.P. or policy and procedure requirements are incorporated into daily procedures and correctly followed by staff in the execution of all duties.
- Establish, validate and maintain quality assurance procedures, and records in coordination with department managers and Quality Assurance Manager
- Supervise and manage the pharmacy team providing them with guidance, direction and training as necessary
- Support excellence in all areas of pharmacy operation from people to inventory, health & safety, and workflow
- Assist in production activities (i.e., compounding of product) or processing when the workload requires.
- Ensure the appropriate processes are in place for patient privacy and confidentiality
- Ensure the pharmacy achieves and maintains financial growth targets
- Support the management of the facility including equipment and software necessary to successfully run the pharmacy
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Active Pharmacy license in Ontario; in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- 3+ years' experience as a Pharmacy Manager; experience and / or interest in compounding is an asset
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Good time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to coach, train and motivate a team
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work effectively within time constraints
