Job Title : HVAC / Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC / Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team and provide maintenance services at two plants located in Brampton and Mississauga.

The ideal candidate will perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units, as well as handle basic facilities maintenance tasks such as plumbing and electrical work.

Additionally, you will be responsible for taking pictures, entering notes, creating and completing work orders, and liaising with vendors for tasks beyond your capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units.
• Handle basic facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing and electrical work.
• Take pictures, enter notes, and create and complete work orders.
• Call vendors for assistance with tasks beyond the technician's capabilities.
• Identify and sell additional maintenance work.
• Act as a liaison between the company and Amcor.
• Conduct fire extinguisher inspections.

Essential Skills

• HVAC certification 313A and Gas Tech 2
• Experience with electrical, service, troubleshooting, mechanical, and repair tasks.
• Ability to inspect HVAC units, including checking belts and coils and ensuring the charge is good.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills and documentation.
• Understanding of industrial facilities, fire suppression, EPA regulations, and field service.

Work Environment

The position involves managing facilities in a plastic injection molding facility. The day shift is approximately from 7 am to 3 : 30 pm, with some flexibility.

Overtime and on-call work may be required. You will work closely with management to ensure the efficient operation of the plant / building.

The role requires wearing steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, and a hard hat. You will be working between two locations in Brampton, ON.

Salary and Hours

Days : 7am-3 : 30pm

Wages : $48-55 / hr based on experience and certification level
