Are you ready to lead and inspire a dynamic finance team in a thriving manufacturing organization? As the Controller at Wesko Locks, you will oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, internal control, and financial reporting.
Your leadership will be pivotal in guiding and developing the Finance department to meet and exceed the evolving needs of our business.
You'll collaborate with department leaders to achieve both tactical and strategic company objectives, making independent decisions based on established policies and accounting principles.

What you will be doing :
- Leadership : Inspire and guide the Finance & Accounting team.
- Team Development : Identify and cultivate the growth of your direct reports.
- Financial Reporting : Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP / IFRS and company policies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting : Produce annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Financial Analysis : Provide insightful financial analysis, focusing on variances to budget, forecast, and prior year, and offer recommendations on areas of concern.
Work with engineering and sales to develop product costing and margin analysis
- Collaboration : Work with the High Security & Specialty Products Group Director of Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all accounting guidelines.
- Forecast Management : Develop and manage weekly and monthly outlook / forecast processes.
- Cash Management : Oversee activities such as vendor payments, customer receipts, and cash flow forecasting.
- Inventory Control : Ensure accurate inventory and accounting controls.
- Internal Controls : Develop and maintain internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Audit Coordination : Provide necessary information for internal and external audits.
- Regulatory Compliance : Coordinate federal, state, legal, and regulatory reporting and filings.
- Adherence to Standards : Perform all responsibilities in line with company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Additional Responsibilities : Take on other duties as assigned to support the company's goals.
Office Hours :
- Monday to Friday : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM on-site
- Flexibility : Evenings and weekends as needed to meet deadlines and business needs.
What we’re looking for :
- Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting; CPA or CMA a plus.
- Experience : 7+ years in finance and accounting, with a preference for experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Leadership : Proven experience leading and managing a department, including supervisory experience.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency with financial software such as Hyperion HFM, JD Edwards, Infor, etc.
- Audit and Compliance : Experience managing audits and ensuring compliance with GAAP / IFRS, cost accounting, and systems development & implementation.
- Analytical Skills : Ability to research and analyze complex issues, providing insights and making informed decisions.
- Problem-Solving : Strong strategic-thinking skills to devise creative solutions to accounting and business issues.
- Multitasking : Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining control and order.
- Independent Thinking : Capacity to think independently and take action based on established policies and accounting principles.
- Drive for Improvement : Ambition, energy, and drive to continuously enhance processes.
- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
