Responsibilities
- Arrange Ocean transportation and facilitate the movement of goods based on customer demands.
- Ensure accuracy on shipments and minimize risk of delay
- Provide and track quotations of services to our customers
- Advise clients on transportation and payment methods, including the issuance of freight bills and invoices to brokers and / or customer.
Including proper record retention and filing of documentation
- Filing of invoices, orders, PODs, and collect payments for the same
- Track and trace vendor orders and report any anomalies
- Collect, audit and accurately enter carrier qualification information
- Arrange white glove services for customers, ensuring proper unpacking, packing, transportation of sensitive equipment
- Coordinate pickup and delivery orders with carriers
- Prompt and accurate communication with customers and carriers
- Various other duties as may be required
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in logistics, ocean imports
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), French an asset.
- Knowledge of North American Carrier Network and cross-border shipping requirements an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience with CargoWise is considered an asset.
- Strong organization skills, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and analytical skills.
