POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Accessory Planning & Development Supervisor, the Sales Marketing and Product Specialist is responsible for launching new automotive accessories, updating sales tools, managing digital assets, identifying sales opportunities, developing and executing sales strategies / promotions, following current automotive market trends and being a product expert for the Mobis accessory portfolio.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Research, develop and maintain a solid understanding of the current market, products and trends to identify sales opportunities
- Develop and present business cases and sales strategies on new and existing products, programs and accessory packages
- Collaborate with the Product Development and Quality teams to launch new accessories and provide continued support for the accessory portfolio
- Maintain accessory application charts and related support documents
- Lead the handling of digital assets through careful curation and tracking
- Analyze trends on current inventory and execute sales strategies and promotions for existing products
- Coordinate and report on sales activities and promotions
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, suppliers and customers
- Attend trade shows and appropriate industry events as required
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry
- Post-Secondary degree or diploma in automotive, marketing, business, sales or other related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to edit and create digital assets
- Excellent working skills with computers and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Thrives in a fast paced, dynamic and deadline oriented environment
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written skills
- Must be team oriented, customer service focused and an automotive enthusiast
- Bilingual (French) is an asset
