Procurement Officer, Purchasing Agent

The Strategic Procurement Officer oversees the supply chain procurement process, ensuring efficient acquisition of goods and services while adhering to policies and budgets
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Procurement Management : Oversee the full procurement process, ensuring compliance with policies
- Supplier Management : Build relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms, and resolve issues
- Order Processing : Review and approve purchase orders for accuracy
- Cost Negotiation : Assist in negotiating pricing and delivery terms
- Quality Assurance : Collaborate with quality control to ensure standards are met
- Reporting : Generate reports on purchasing activities and KPIs
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with other departments to align procurement activities
REQUIREMENTS :
- 2 to 4 years of Supply Chain Management
- Associates or Certification in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred
- Proven experience in procurement, with at least some experience in supervising and
- leading processes
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, negotiation techniques, and supply
- chain management.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and
- sometimes under tight deadlines.
- Ability to problem solve procurement issues and come up with effective solutions to
- meet deadlines needed
- Ability to set and adjust priorities based on urgency of requests
- Proficiency in using software and data entry
