What you will bedoing :
Our Content Creator / Social Media Manager will work closely with the Marketing PR andoperational teams to champion the hotels organic content strategiesonline community management and brand voice both visually andthrough strategic storytelling.
In this role reporting to theDirector of Marketing responsibilities and essential job functionsinclude but are not limited to thefollowing :
- Create engaging contentthat aligns with the hotels brand while being current and ontrend.
- Develop plan and execute social calendaracross all organic social channels.
- Owncommunication between brand and hotel of social media and contentbest practices.
- Drive consistent brand voiceand visual identity across all social mediaplatforms.
- Support the development of contentcalendars ensuring timely postings that align with brand campaignsand key seasonal events.
- Produce highqualitycontent including copy photos and videos for website social mediadigital and print advertising.
- Manage allsocial media platforms (Facebook Twitter Instagram LinkedIn YouTubeTikTok) for Fairmont Empress with support from the DirectorMarketing / PR.
- Collaborate with the Director ofMarketing to establish social media goals review monthly reportssharing with the Marketing Team as well as identify areas of futurefocus and strategies.
- Collaborate with theDirector of Public Relation on influencer visits and contentcreation.
- Contribute to management of theMarketing / PR teams overall annual plans.
- Assistwith the planning and execution of photo / video shoots including preand post production for web and socialplatforms.
- Adhering to all Fairmont Hotels& Resorts sales standard and uphold the highest standard ofinternal and external customer service at alltimes.
- Miscellaneous assignments asrequired.
Qualifications :
Yourexperience and skillsinclude :
- Postsecondaryeducation in communications marketing journalism or publicrelations; OR
- A minimum of four (4) years ofprofessional writing copyediting and proofreading experience orexperience in a communicationsrelated field;OR
- An equivalent combination of education andexperience may be considered.
- Exemplary writingand editing skills experience with social media and graphicdesign.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Programsincluding Photoshop InDesignIllustrator.
- Working knowledge of Word ExcelOpera and Cision applications ispreferred.
- Video production and video editingskills is preferred and considered a keyasset.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills. Mustdemonstrate strong collaborative skills and the ability to work ina teamorientated environment.
- Enjoy a varietyof tasks that require flexibility and administrative support. Mustbe able to correspond with Department Guest & Businessdemands.
