Senior Transportation Modeller - part-time

Job Description

AECOM Traffic Engineering and System Planning is growing and is seeking a dynamic Senior Transportation Modeller to join our team.

The successful candidates will be based in AECOM Thornhill offices, where the multi-disciplinary team works on a wide range of projects delivering transportation solutions for tomorrow across Ontario, Canada and around the globe :

• Transportation master plan studies
• Business case assessments for transportation projects
• Transit ridership forecasting
• Transportation policy studies
• Active transportation planning and design projects
• Environmental assessments for transportation facilities
• Transportation study peer reviews

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor’s degree or greater in Civil Engineering with a strong emphasis on transportation and statistical analysis
• 6+ years of experience in travel demand forecasting using EMME and VISUM

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Masters of PhD degree in Transportation with an emphasis on transportation modelling
• 10+ years of experience with advanced transportation modelling
• Experience in computer programming languages (e.g. VBA, SQL, Python, C / C++) and EMME macro language
• Experience with AIMSUN, TransCAD, CUBE, VISSIM, Synchro / SimTraffic, ARCADY, SIDRA
