Description
Sales and Revenue Generation :
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets within the assigned territory.Identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts by building relationships with restaurants, hotels, retail stores, and other beverage vendors.
Account Management :
Manage a portfolio of clients within the territory, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.Act as the primary point of contact for customers, resolving any issues, and providing product recommendations.
Market Analysis and Territory Planning :
Analyze sales data, customer trends, and market conditions to develop a territory plan that maximizes sales and market share.
Monitor competitor activity and report relevant insights to adjust strategies accordingly.
Product Education and Promotion :
Educate customers and their teams on the wine portfolio, including product knowledge, tasting notes, and pairing suggestions.
Organize and participate in wine tastings, promotional events, and training sessions for customers.
Customer Relationship Building :
Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the industry.Engage with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing personalized service to drive customer loyalty.
Sales Reporting and Forecasting :
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and account reviews for management.Track sales performance against targets and develop action plans to address gaps.
Travel and Territory Coverage :
Travel within the assigned territory to meet with clients regularly, ensuring consistent presence and support.Identify and prioritize high-potential customers and areas for development.
Inventory and Supply Chain Coordination :
Work with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of wine products to customers.Manage stock levels and forecasts to meet client demand while minimizing excess inventory.
Compliance and Industry Knowledge :
Stay up-to-date on wine industry trends, regulations, and compliance requirements.Ensure all activities are conducted within the guidelines of the liquor laws and distributor policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a commissioned salesperson, ideally within the restaurant, hotel, or retail sectors.
- Strong interpersonal skills charismatic, personable, and self-motivated.
- Familiarity with the hospitality industry and key decision-makers within it.
- Ability to work independently, managing your schedule and priorities effectively.
- Passion for wine; formal wine education or experience is ideal.
