GSMProject is experiencing significant growth and isseeking to establish a more advanced business developmentstructure. Reporting to the Executive Producer and Head of BusinessDevelopment the Business Development Managerwill represent GSMProjectand take charge of overseeing the daily execution ofsalesrelated activities in the assigned region.
This role requiresa highly collaborative and detailoriented approach with theBusiness Development Manager playing a key role in securing newprojects for thecompany.
Responsibilities
DefineNorth American SalesStrategy
- Conductmarket research and develop a nuanced understanding of the marketof museums and cultural attractions in theregion
- Based on this research identify areasand clients of interest for GSM
- Formulate astrategy for developing relationships and business with identifiedclients of interest
- Develop and maintain anetwork of sources for leads and RFPs across NorthAmerica
- Identify opportunities to grow theclient base within Canada and USAmarkets
- Identification implementation andmanagement of sales and development resources / tools andmaterials
ImplementStrategy
- Formulatea sales strategy to develop business within Canada and USAmarkets
- Represent GSM Project in the market byattending exhibitions trade shows conferences and other generalnetworking activities in order to raise the market profile of thefirm in Canada & USA
- Build and maintaindevelopment pipeline information for regional and globalreporting
- Collaborate and coordinate with theGSM Project Development teams across offices to maximizedevelopment reach and potentialglobally
- Develop and maintain longterm businessrelationships with clients andpartners
Proposals
- Ownershipstrategy definition and direction of all GSM Proposals in the NAregion in coordination with the global development team asnecessary
- Writing of proposals asnecessary
- Analysis and reporting onproposals
- Coordination with all internal GSMteams globally as required for proposalefforts
- Establishing a client relationshipwhere possible and supporting the transition from the award of RFPto the project work of GSM project team
- Act asa secondary line of communication between clients and the projectteams asneeded

Requirements
- BachelorsDegree
- Self starter or experience in a similarrole
- 5 years of experience in the creativeindustry with experience in the museum and cultural attractionsspecific a strong and desired asset
- Experiencewith proposal writing and project strategy in a designconsultingcontext
- Established quantitative capabilitiesand highlevel of comfort withnumbers
- Flexibility and openmindedness inapproach with fundamental team and solutionbasedmindset
- Fluency in English (must) and French(plus) written and spoken
- Computer programs : Google suite familiarity with CRMplatforms.
