The right person for the role has proven success at developing, executing and managing social media strategies for multiple brands, personas and across a variety of channels.

About the workplace
This is a full-time hybrid role that requires working 2 days a week from the Vancouver, BC office, once the initial one-month in-office training period is complete.

About the role
- Develop the organization’s social media strategy for annual planning and campaign activations across multiple channels.
- Manage content planning and calendars to ensure key campaigns, announcements, awareness days, top-performing long-form and top-of-funnel content needs are balanced and optimized.
- Create social media personas by channel and tailor messaging and content format to drive engagement.
- Evaluate, optimize and improve social media strategy and tactics, including increasing brand awareness, impressions and followers.
- Present performance results to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Leverage influencers and user-generated content to deepen connections and stimulate engagement.
- Collaborate with designers on graphics, developing and testing engagement with social graphics for key audiences.
- Liaise with various external stakeholders to share stories in various formats.
- Collaborate with internal fundraising team to develop campaign strategy based on goals.
The salary range for the role is $57,500 - $76,000 along with a generous compensation package that includes extended health benefits, pension plan and more.
About you
- 4+ years’ experience in a social media role or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Education in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field.
- Proven experience in driving results and managing multiple social media campaigns on various platforms.
- Strong knowledge of digital content planning and execution for a wide variety of channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, etc.
including the use of content scheduling platforms and social listening tools.
- Successful track record of content planning and growth strategies, tracking analytics, interpreting results and optimizing performance to achieve KPIs.
- Experience in the creation and editing of photo’s, video and reels and providing direction and oversight to internal and external creative teams.
- Experience in community cultivation and management, handling online comments and conversations.
- Knowledge of graphic design, photography, videography and creative development process, able to work efficiently with graphic designers, writers, photographers and videographers.
- Able to turn long-form content and announcements into bite-sized captions that engage followers across platforms.
- Experience using project management tools to communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
