Reporting to the Manager - Desktop, Mobility, Telecom & Audio-Visual, the Technical Lead will provide direction and leadership on a variety of significant strategic projects, processes, systems and / or functional areas and will act as the liaison between the architecture, application, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- You are someone who values relationships and works effectively with IT architects and project teams to enable the successful delivery of IT solutions that are strategically aligned to both the broader enterprise architecture and city goals.
- You will use your critical thinking skills and ability to look beyond convention and will work to improve architectural approaches to further a repeatable framework for solutions.
- Using your leadership skills to engage and enable others for results, you will lead the infrastructure or applications environment build, configuration, integration, and successful hand-off to the operations team.
- You and your team will deliver results to ensure the contributions of the project teams adhere to quality control standards. Qualifications
- At a minimum you will have completed a 2-year diploma in information systems plus a minimum of 6 years in an IT implementation role or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Significant knowledge of computers, computer programming, applications, database technology, networking, cloud-hosted solutions, and support in an IT environment.
- Strong communication skills both oral and written.
- Proven experience and ability to lead teams of people with an IT infrastructure environment.
- Effective time management and able to work on multiple projects, conflicting priorities.
- Lead by example by providing strong commitment to service excellence to internal and externals partners and senior management. Other Information

Pay Step Hourly Rate Step 1 $55.86 Step 2 (6 months) $58.40 Step 3 (18 months) $60.82 Step 4 (30 months) $63.35
