Job Description
AIM Éco-Centre St-Augustin is currently looking for an evening heavy machinery mechanic for its site. The successful candidate will be required to analyze malfunctions and perform repairs and maintenance of demolition equipment, such as excavators, demolition accessories, mini excavators, skid steer loaders and concrete crushing equipment.
- Perform repairs on equipment and hydraulic and electrical circuits as needed;
- Perform necessary repairs on hydraulic hammers, shears and pliers;
- Perform oil changes on equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions;
- Use and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose faults;
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment using cranes, hoists and hand tools;
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear and provide recommendations to the service manager;
- Test revised equipment to ensure operational effectiveness;
- Repair and weld associated excavator accessories if necessary;
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times;
- Other related stains.
Qualifications
- DEP in construction machinery mechanics; (in progress)
- Autonomy and resourcefulness;
- Good communication skills;
- Skills to work in a team;
- Analytical ability to solve various problems and make connections;
- Ability to concentrate;

Additional Information
- Schedule Monday to Wednesday from 2 : 30 to 2 : 00 and Thursday from 2 : 30 to midnight;
- Overtime paid at time and a half.
