Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Payroll Administrator to join their team for a 12-month term. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage full-cycle payroll responsibilities while working closely with the Controller to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for the organization.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of the payroll operations.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for 200 + employees (hourly and salaried workers)
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and overtime.
  • Enter and update employee pay information, including tax information, benefit deductions, and wage adjustments.
  • Support year end processes such as T4 preparation
  • Respond to employee questions regarding their pay, timesheets, benefits, etc.;
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records are maintained
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years experience in a payroll position
  • A Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration or similar field of study
  • PCP certification would be considered an asset
  • Experience working in Ceridian Dayforce
  • Intermediate level MS Excel
  • Strong communication skills
