Job description :
Our client is a fast-growing real estate company that is rapidly becoming a major player in the Montreal market, with over 3,000 units in their portfolio.

Responsibilities :
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness and integrity of accounting information through daily accounting tasks, including preparation of journal entries, invoicing and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Manage day-to-day cash flow requirements, including daily financing requests and cash flow forecasts.
- Prepare and file GST, PST and RST working papers, returns and remittances.
- Full cycle accounting for small entities.
- Participate in annual financial budgeting process.
- Support annual compliance requirements by preparing annual work papers, financial statements and tax returns.
- Participate in and lead financial improvement projects, including automation, simplifications and improved controls and documentation.
- Work in collaboration with the accounting team to ensure continuity of tasks by replacing absent members during their leave.
- Assist other team members in achieving common goals.
- Prepare other accounting projects within appropriate deadlines and according to assigned tasks.
Skills and qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- CPA designation or current certification an asset.
- Experience in commercial real estate operations + CAM reconciliations an asset.
- Knowledge of HOPEM software is an asset.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Bilingual (English and French) required.
