Responsibilities
The senior Accountant will be responsible for :
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements
- Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Manage general ledger entries and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and answering auditor inquiries.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making.
Qualifications
- CPA designation
- Must be bilingual (french and english)
- Knowledge of inventory related process is an asset
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a senior role or Big 6 profile.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
