Financial Analyst (Fund Oversight)
Our client in the insurance industry is seeking a skilled professional for a temporary role to cover a maternity leave. The position may be upgraded to Financial Analyst III for candidates with significant experience in Fund Accounting, Fund Oversight, or related Fund Operations.
The successful candidate will oversee outsourced NAV operations, ensuring accuracy, mitigating risk, and collaborating with internal and external partners in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily activities related to Net Asset Values (NAVs) outsourced to NAV Agent partners.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies within oversight tools within 24 hours of NAV publication, engaging with internal teams and external partners as needed.
- Ensure archived financial data packages meet audit standards.
- Use judgement and risk mitigation strategies to prioritize tasks and resolve complex issues proactively.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of fund accounting principles, helping to identify and address potential financial or reputational risks to the company and its investors.
- Collaborate with various teams to enhance overall processes while adhering to deadlines.
What you will need to succeed :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- CGA, CMA, CA, CPA, or CFA (candidate) designation (nice-to-have).
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in the investment industry.
- Strong knowledge of information systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience in fund accounting or investment administration.
- Knowledge of securities instruments, foreign exchange, reconciliation, investment accounting, and fund reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong teamwork and independent work abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to adapt quickly, handle tight deadlines, and manage change effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
