Detailed Overview
Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients / clients / residents and families : Reporting to the Executive Director, Clinical Lead mNPR Implementation, the Project Director, mNPR is accountable for supporting the work of the Fraser Health mNPR Project Leadership Team.
Providing expert advice and guidance, the Project Director informs the implementation plan, and carries out delegated functions from the Executive Director mNPR which are informed by the FH Joint Regional Implementation Committee responsible for executing mNPR implementation.
Core work will be to mobilize and work together with key internal corporate teams, sites, unit, community and union representatives that are central to the successful implementation, assessment of and performance with minimum nursing ratios across the health authority.
The individual will identify and communicate risks and barriers to inform actions and mitigation plans as directed. Communicates internally with nurses, human resources, staffing services, finance, operations leaders, union representatives, quality improvement, and learning strategies to build trust, alignment and partnership to move mNPR implementation forward.
Responsibilities Provides effective leadership, expert advice and problem solving in the implementation of mNPR across nursing practice areas in Fraser Health in accordance with the Ministry of Health policy direction.
Executes priority tasks from the mNPR implementation plan to ensure reporting and monitoring as required. Promotes mNPR as an attribute of a compassionate quality learning environment.
Guides and leads the assigned areas from the mNPR implementation project team and acts as a liaison across nursing practice areas.
Collaborates with key partners including union representatives, and services including Staffing Services, Human Resources, Strategic Transformation, operational leadership, data analytics, evaluation, and financial management departments in the implementation, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of mNPR and facilitates the deployment of resources as required to enable implementation in nursing practice areas.
Provides implementation progress reports, identifies barriers and risks and reports findings to the Fraser Health mNPR Project Leadership Team.
Provides input into the development of required implementation plans, progress and performance reports as required. Facilitates communication and feedback loops within Fraser Health, between nursing practice areas and the mNPR Project Leadership Team.
Collaborates with nursing leaders responsible for similar work in other health organizations to enable consistency of implementation and opportunity to share learning across health organizations.
Engages nurses, nursing leaders, and union representatives in the continuous improvement of the mNPR implementation, workplace culture, and quality of nursing care.
Identifies implementation barriers and risks, proposes mitigating solutions and escalates concerns for problem solving. Responsible to support approaches in the implementation and sustainment of mNPR such as;
Enabling nursing contribution to team-based care and support the ongoing improvement of collaborative team-based care processes.
Enabling processes to engage the patient voice in process and quality improvement actions. Ensuring that there is a focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the workplace process improvement actions.
Ensuring that there is a focus on improving Indigenous Cultural Safety and Humility in the workplace and in providing care and services for Indigenous patients and families.
Qualifications Registered Nurse with a master’s degree plus ten years recent experience in complex health care environment including five years progressive project and / or change management leadership experience;

Knowledge and understanding of nursing legislation, statutes, regulations, professional standards of practice, and how nursing practice contributes to quality of patient care.
Competency in project / program planning, implementation, management, and evaluation. Ability to lead organization change and build collaborative partnerships.
Demonstrated ability in analyzing performance and evaluation metrics and translating information (data and metrics) into process and quality improvement.
Demonstrated understanding of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles and their application in the workplace. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Indigenous Cultural Safety and Humility.
Demonstrated experience leading and negotiating collaboratively with internal partners. Ability to manage staff and budgets effectively.
Proficiency in the use of personal computers and related technology.
