Your new role
As a Personal Injury Law Clerk (Tort), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Managing files from intake to trial
- Preparing correspondence and requesting medical, employment, and other records
- Preparing motion records, settlement briefs, and medical briefs
- Scheduling examinations for discovery, medical legal appointments, mediations, hearings, and court appointments
- Preparing Affidavit of Documents, handling document production, and following up on undertakings
- Assisting with trial and hearing preparation
- Maintaining and updating calendars
What you'll need to succeed
- A Law Clerk diploma from a recognized college
- 3-5 years of law clerk experience in personal injury law, in Tort
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Availability to work in North York office 5 days a week
