The Senior Copywriter is responsible for creating compelling and consistent communications that bring Medisca's brand direction and positioning to life.
This role involves developing and executing high-quality, impactful copy for various marketing materials, including landing pages, blogs, emails, social media posts, brochures, tradeshow collateral, and customer experiences.
The Senior Copywriter will create clear, accurate, and engaging technical and medical content for pharmaceutical products, educational materials, and regulatory documents, ensuring all content adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
They will transform short briefs into persuasive communications, translate complex scientific information into customer-friendly content, and enhance the overall brand communication style.
Key Responsibilities :
- Write compelling and consistent communications to bring Medisca's brand direction and positioning to life.
- Develop and execute high-quality, impactful, and creative copy for various marketing materials (landing pages, blogs, emails, social media posts, brochures, tradeshow collateral, customer experiences).
- Develop content for product information, product launches, events, and promotional campaigns.
- Create clear, accurate, and engaging technical and medical content for pharmaceutical products, educational materials, and regulatory documents.
- Ensure all content adheres to industry standards and complies with regulatory requirements.
- Transform short briefs into engaging and persuasive communications that align with business objectives, market insights, customer segments, and historical performance results.
- Translate complex technical and scientific information into clear, customer-facing content.
- Elevate writing style, knowing when to push boundaries creatively and when to maintain a professional tone.
- Write effective marketing messages to promote educational courses, webinars, and lab trainings, ect.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to write and execute corporate communication plans for company initiatives and employee events.
- Ensure timely writing and execution of master copy decks for marketing campaigns and projects (web, print, eBlasts, press releases, social media, advertisements, etc.)
- Edit and proofread copy for accuracy, clarity, and consistency in tone and style.
- Research industry trends, customer needs, and competitors to provide insights and innovative ideas for building brand equity and informing content creation.
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual elements.
- Develop writing guidelines and SOPs to maintain high standards of content quality and consistency.
- Mentor and guide junior copywriters, providing feedback and support for their professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree in a scientific, medical, or pharmaceutical discipline preferred.
- 5-7 years of professional copywriting experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, or healthcare industry.
- Proven track record of producing high-quality, impactful copy for various marketing channels, including technical and regulatory documents.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail
- Experience in medical communication / education and pharmacy compounding is an asset
- Proficiency in translating complex medical and scientific information into clear, engaging content
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance in medical / pharmaceutical writing
- Knowledge of clinical terminology and principles of clinical research data
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices
- Excellent time management and organizational skills for handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Creative thinker with the ability to push boundaries while maintaining brand consistency and professionalism
- Strong research skills to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
- Experience in using content management systems (CMS) and other relevant software tools
- Experience in mentoring and guiding junior writers, providing constructive feedback and support
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Understanding of brand messaging and visual consistency
- Bilingual (English-French) communication skills. This position caters to a global audience and ensures compliance with industry standards.
Travel : Up to two (2) weeks per year to attend tradeshows, programs, training sessions.
