The Pacific National Exhibition is an iconic institution in BC, famous for bringing generations of people together to celebrate and build memories.
This 114-year-old, non-profit organization has an annual operating budget of over $70 million dollars and generates revenue through four activity streams : the 15-day annual summer Fair and winter Fair which average more than 700,000 people annually, Playland amusement park which welcomes 400,000 guests annually including Fright Nights, and a busy year-round portfolio of events including concerts, trade shows and film, cultural and community events.
In total we bring over 2 million people through the site each year. The fourth activity stream is park care and facility maintenance.

The PNE’s Sales, Marketing & Business Development Department oversees the company’s marketing, corporate partnerships, group sales, facility sales, business development and TicketLeader.

The Account Manager, Corporate Partnerships who will report to the Manager, Corporate Partnerships, plays a critical role in elevating business results and serves as the experience champion for our partners.
The Account Managers is responsible for contributing to the departments’ significant revenue targets and will have indirect responsibility to cross sell all PNE Products & Services.
The position requires a high degree of attention to detail, client and partner service, logistics and creativity. The Account Manager, Corporate Partnerships is pivotal in account management, project management and communication.
The role will allow the right applicant the opportunity to contribute to the success of the new PNE Amphitheatre opening in 2026.

What will you do this year?
The Account Manager, Corporate Partnerships will be responsible for account management including project management activities for the partnership portfolio.
The duties include, but are not limited to :
Account Management
In conjunction with the full account management team, maintain the PNE account management standard operating principles to elevate business results and optimize processes and technology.
- Ensures positive and collaborative partner account management principles are maintained with all key accounts while nurturing and growing all partner opportunities.
- Maintains strong relationships with key market clients, industry and suppliers.
- Collaborates with Manager, Corporate Partnerships to identify ways of growing volume, revenue and loyalty of each account.
- Ensures timely delivery of proposals, contracts and post event wrap up with clients.
- Identifies opportunities to upsell during initial contract negotiations, with a focus on contract renewals post-event.
- Liaises with partners from contract through to delivery to ensure partnership objectives are met and provides support and direction to the PNE departments on the partnership.
- Represents partners’ interests while delivering the company’s business objectives and minimizing risk.
New Sales Activities
While the role will be leveraged with significant existing house accounts, the role will also include responsibilities to identify and acquire new business that will elevate business results for corporate partnerships.
- Identifies and acquire new business opportunities in key markets through sales activities that include, but are not limited to, developing and managing the sales pipeline with sales lead generation, sales research, cold calling, presentations and active participation in the industry, supported by a cohesive partnership plan in place and support of the partnership team.
- Develops partnership proposals based on opportunity and interests; negotiate sponsor benefits and facilitates contracts based on PNE standard valuation best practices.
- Showcase creativity in exploring new revenue generating product opportunities and work with the relevant departments to create a business case for implementation.
- Research new trends and stay current on new market activities in markets that can enhance or detract from strategic plan deliverables.
Leadership & Administration
Collaborate with the sales & marketing team to inspire and maximize the teams’ potential and productivity through optimization of processes and technology.
- Models the PNE’s core values and lead the team to not putting the event before the CART (Communication, Accountability, Respect and Trust) with team members across the company.
- Promotes a sales & marketing culture across the organization and encourage cross selling of all PNE Events and business channels.
- Utilizes standardized business processes, policies, guidelines, and tools to manage corporate partners relationships.
- Ensures all corporate planning timelines are met respectively and diligently including contracts, budgets, reporting and standard operating procedures.
- Ensures timely internal and external communication to department, organization, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a tracking tool for potential sponsors and where they are in the sales cycle ensuring accurate customer relations account records within the existing CRM.
- Lead inbound XM opportunity sales with brand direct and agency contacts.
- Assist in the execution, including contractual details and on-site logistics, of sponsorship and sampling programs.
- Assist in budget management within corporate partnerships and digital signage throughout the site.
- Assist and leverage corporate partnerships to secure prizing for the PNE Charity auction and other PNE events.

- Proven work history in a similar role with understanding of sales and marketing responsibilities.
- Demonstrates creativity, the ability to think outside the box and a keenness to collaborate.
- Has 5 years sales experience with strong sales fundamentals knowledge with cold calling, prospecting, and discovery in the corporate partnership and sponsorship industry.
- Strategic, creative and positive team member that can facilitate both a marketing and sales conversation with partners and PNE stakeholders.
- Ability to understand and represent another company’s brand internally while balancing PNE objectives.
- Demonstrates creativity, the ability to think outside the box, inspires change, respects tradition and experience.
- Strong understanding of marketing and partnership industry.
- Has strong data analysis aptitude and is comfortable inputting and interpreting data.
- Shows a sense of salesmanship with a keen sense of understanding the target audience and presenting information to them in ways that will lead to a positive impression of the company.
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills with a keen sense of critical thinking and conflict resolution.
- Ability to have fun and multi-task in a high-pressure environment.

Additional Information
The PNE's compensation offerings are in alignment with a pay-for-performance pay philosophy that recognizes individual, and teamwork performance.
The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $63,000 - $72,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, experience, and internal pay structures.
As a part of the PNE's total compensation package, this position may be eligible for other benefits subject to program eligibility requirements.
