Job Description
CEDA is looking to hire a Pipefitter - Lead Hand for our Strathcona Orion site.
Candidates must be local to the Bonnyville area
What we offer :

Key Duties & Responsibilities :
- Install new mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, air dryers, converters, heat exchangers, relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, condensate tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, pneumatic controls, coils, isolation valves, 3-way valves, condensate traps)
- Fit up and prepare piping requiring welded joints
- Liaise and collaborate with other trades, consultants and suppliers
- Cleans condensate traps and equipment strainers
- Provides occasional guidance to the primary function of others, including training.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
- Thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Role Specifications
- Journeyman status required
- valid driver's license (NO GDL) with no more than 4 demerits in last 3 years)
- Experience working in industrial plant setting
- H2S Alive, CSTS 2020 or CSO and First Aid required
- Confined Space entry, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform are considered assets
- Must provide negative Drug & Alcohol result from CEDA booked testing
