Summary
The Diversified Analog Solutions team in Ottawa is developing wireless integrated circuit components and has a RF Application Engineer Co-Op opportunity for a university student available for a 12 month Co-Op starting in January 2025.
The successful candidate will report to a Senior Application Engineering assigned to the student. The ideal student will be required to apply sound Engineering skills to a variety of tasks in the area of WiFi / IoT device evaluation and customer board tuning and testing including PA, LNA, switch and FEM products.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include :
Assisting application engineering group members with their customer support activities.
Assisting in the new integrated circuit and module product test activities.
Lab testing of RF circuits, presentation of test results, and participation in customer SCH / Layout reviews.
Completion of small projects and task assignments of various degrees of complexity, ranging from device characterization, test environment programming, and documentation, etc.
Requirements
Candidate must be currently enrolled in a BS or MS Electrical Engineering (or related) degree program.
Knowledge of basic electronic circuits and principles.
Proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel, PPT and Word) and have an aptitude for quickly learning other company specific software.
Knowledge in RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2 / 3, VSWR, NF, etc.) is preferred.
Experience in using test equipment and tools such as multi-meter, oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources, and soldering tools is preferred.
Good communication, organization, and documentation skills and be willing to work in a lab hands-on environment.
