Lumentum is looking for Solution Software System Engineer (Test) Co-op to participate in the development of software for a new generation of disruptive metrology products and participate in creating a lean and agile development culture.
Key responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and implement testing strategies for integrated software and hardware systems.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Perform manual testing as needed to validate hardware and software interactions.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to understand product requirements and specifications.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Develop and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.
Education :
Working to complete a Bachelor or Master program in Engineering.
Qualifications :
- Experience in software and hardware integrated testing.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks (, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Experience with manual testing techniques and methodologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with hardware testing tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Assets :
- Previous coop experience.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control systems (, Git).
