What your team does :
As part of the Data Engineering team, youll contribute to building and optimizing the data and analytics infrastructure for a high-growth, venture-backed company.
Youll gain hands-on experience with technologies such as Python, AWS, Terraform, Databricks, and dbt, among others. This role offers close collaboration with the Data Science team and cross-functional partners to address data needs across the organization.
What youll work on :
Actively contribute as a member of Clios Data Engineering team, supporting data-driven projects and initiatives.
Scope, plan, and prioritize data projects in alignment with organizational goals.
Track and report on project progress, proactively identifying and addressing any blockers.
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and fulfill data requirements across departments.
Participate in and conduct regular code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
Design and implement scalable cloud-based data infrastructure to support analytics and operations.
Develop and maintain data orchestration and transformation workflows using Python and SQL.
Create and optimize data models in SQL to support efficient querying and reporting.
Build and enhance data tooling, supporting the teams ability to process and analyze data effectively.
What you may have :
You have excellent computer science fundamentals around data structures, algorithms, programming languages, and SQL.
You have a natural curiosity and a drive to explore issues thoroughly, always asking Why?.
You communicate clearly and concisely, whether through text, voice, or in-person.
You are a rational, evidence-based thinker who makes decisions thoughtfully.
You have a collaborative mindset and readily step in to support teammates when they need assistance.
Serious bonus points if you have :
Data modeling, analytics, BI or data science experience.
Database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).
Data warehouse experience (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks).
AWS experience.
Terraform experience.
Distributed systems experience.
