We are looking for a Project Estimator who will be responsible for providing accurate estimates and detailed project scopes of work to our current and prospective customers.
This individual works closely with department leaders in Procurement, Operations, and Field Services, to provide accurate project information to all key stakeholders ensuring a excellence experience for our customers.
The Project Estimator promotes a positive company image through a focus of safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work collaboratively with sales force to schedule site visits and project review meetings
- Work with sales on the delivery of all sales proposals / customer quotes.
- Develop and prepare detailed scopes of work, by obtaining all necessary and relevant information from customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
- Prepares accurate project pricing for customer through RFQ’s or customized project scope of work
- Attend all Project Kick-Off meetings, ensuring all project information is transferred to assigned project manager
- Work collaboratively with assigned Project Manager on change orders, warranty issues and other project items
- Continuously provide and maintain a professional and positive customer experience
- Provide expertise knowledge to customers & supervisors to ensure projects are done accurately on budget & on time
- Be able to manage a wide range of projects within the Company’s industries, products and services.
- Participate in the design process from conception to plan presentations, including creation of detailed shop drawings
- Review all engineering drawings before they are released to customers and / or manufacturing
- Ensure Engineering, Operations and Field Service has all relevant customer information in order to design, build and install all projects in line with customer expectations.
- Ensure customer quotations include all necessary health & safety PPE, compliance and regulatory certifications and / or forms.
- Develop extensive knowledge of product line, preferred practices and all applicable industry standards
- Work with strategic partners as required to satisfied customer scope of work.
- Conduct necessary site visits with Project Management to obtain field measurements to complete detailed drawings when necessary
- Correspond with Project Management to ensure design is reflective of the scope of work
- Ability to travel in and outside of province
- Actively participate in quarter sales meetings
- Participate in continuous improvement meetings as required.
- Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
- In accordance with company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the Company

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of College / University degree or diploma or equivalent job experience
- 3+ years experience in similar estimation role
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing and skilled trades.
- Able to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative thinker
- Experience / working knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations
- Analytical mindset
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Strong organizational, time and budget management skills
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
ASSETS :
- Engineering background considered a strong asset
- Experience with SolidWorks an asset
- Experience with MS Project an asset
- Knowledge of fabrication, programming, electrical and millwrighting an asset
