We are looking to hire a Quality and Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our Hamilton based team on a maternity cover.

This position can be either permanent or a 12 month fixed term contract depending on the successful candidate’s preference.

About the role

Reporting to the Quality and Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will support the company’s clients as well as Customer Service and Sales teams in providing documentation and advice related to customer on-boarding, QA processes and regulatory.

As such you will be responsible for the complete cycle of requesting, completing, and maintaining appropriate and complete product documentation.

You will be working as part of a highly cross-functional team based in NZ, China, the US and Europe, communicating directly with customers around the globe.

Your profile

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic self-starter who is looking for a role where they can make a difference and who is comfortable with the responsibilities that come with the position.

You will also be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus.

Applicants should have the following attributes, qualifications and experience :

  • Tertiary qualification in Microbiology / Quality / Food Science / Food Technology / Applied Science or related fields.
  • At least 12 months experience in a similar position ideally gained within the food ingredient or pharma industry.
  • Knowledge of applicable international regulations and standards such as BRC, ISO, Codex, HACCP, FDA, FSANZ, Sedex etc.
  • Resourceful, quick learner, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly effective written and verbal scientific / technical communication.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • As our manufacturing plant is in China, fluency in Mandarin would be an advantage but is not essential.

This position would suit a recent graduate with relevant internships, a candidate with a first experience in the industry or a parent returning to work.
