The Technical Project Manager is a part of the Information Technology Department and reports to the Chief Technology Officer managing small to large scale projects for the Infrastructure and Service Desk teams.

This role collaborates closely with the technical team and departments across the company to develop and implement life-cycle methodologies for hardware and software systems.

Utilizing effective leadership skills, the Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing the cost, schedule and scope of assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder response activities ensuring effective planning, execution and delivery of solutions. Hold regular meetings to coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and stakeholder support in order to resolve issues and implement improvements.
• Keep all stakeholders informed of progress, issues, timelines and escalate to management when necessary.
• Interact with both internal and external resources to understand existing processes, identify, re-design and close gaps while managing change.
• Manage project lifecycle. This includes defining the project scope, determining the resources required, estimating project costs, building the project schedule, assigning tasks, controlling scope, project communications, implementation and the turnover to production support.
• Facilitate root cause analysis sessions with the project team to formulate and present viable solutions to internal stakeholders and leaders.
• Consult with the team of technical experts to provide world class support and guidance to stakeholders, troubleshoot complex technical problems and propose effective solutions.
• Project management, process analysis, systems analysis and design specification activities across the StandardAero ecosystem.
• Schedule, facilitate and document project meetings. This includes but is not limited to : project kick-offs, team progress updates and status reports to sponsors and executives.
• Track metrics to establish project benefits realization and assist in project closure.
• Manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity through all phases of the project management lifecycle.
• Develop and deliver plans of action, procedures, processes, workflows, troubleshooting methodologies and ensure best practices in all areas are adhered to.

Education and Experience

• 5 - 10 years of sever and / or network administration experience working in a complex fast paced environment.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate and understand different network integrations, digital transformation, VLANs, Security Standards, and routing.
• Strong IT infrastructure projects background.
• ITIL or ITSM certifications preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities including the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to foster partnerships with business stakeholders and project sponsors.
• Comfortable utilizing Gantt charts, Kanban boards and other project dashboards.
• Experience leveraging data analytics to evaluate metrics related to project performance.
• Some international travel may be required.
