You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of reporting for IT and the Enterprise Project Management Office and overseeing the annual budgeting process.
Here’s where you’ll be focusing :
- Provide financial analysis and reporting for IT spend as it relates to key organizational EPMO projects.
- Make recommendations as it relates to the classification of IT expenditures as either Capex or Opex based on IFRS guidelines.
- Ensure the accuracy of all financial information for IT / EPMO project spend at the end of each period.
- Recommend financial and process improvements especially as it relates to improvements for IT PO creation as well as IT invoicing.
- Responsible for consolidating the annual Project Capital and Expense Budgets within prescribed deadlines.
- Drive IT / EPMO teams to provide robust financial forecasts as it relates to project spend.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, Sobeys Accounting Standards and policies.
- Finance lead on IT projects on an as-needed basis.
- Various ad-hoc analysis and requests for reporting / reporting tools.
What you have to offer :
- A minimum of 3-5 years or more of progressively increasing levels of responsibility within a finance department in a large retail organization
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting / Finance
- Accounting Designation (CA, CMA or CGA) preferred
- Comfortable presenting to senior leaders within a large organization
- Comfortable working with external vendors as a representative of Sobeys
- Previous finance management experience with Retail Food stores preferred
- Experience working with cross functional teams
