Civeo Canada is recruiting for an experienced leader with a background in Indigenous Relations for this Manager role. The incumbent will initiate and develop ongoing relationships with Indigenous communities, leading to the growth of successful partnerships within Central and Eastern Canada.
Reporting to the Director, Indigenous Strategic Initiatives, the incumbent will facilitate and support innovative programs and services designed to recruit and retain First Nations, Metis and Inuit people.
This position will be based out of Ontario, Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops, implements and manages short and long-range indigenous business development strategies for projects.
- Collaborates with other corporate shared services teams to develop employment, skills development and subcontracting programs.
- Initiate and lead Indigenous awareness campaigns, internally and externally.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with Indigenous communities, and industry clients.
- Refines edits and tailors marketing collateral and presentations to specific clients and opportunities.
- Manages and participates in client, community and professional events in order to promote Civeo.
- Develops and maintains relevant community, project-specific financial and employment information.
- Stays current with industry trends and client activities in order to identify new markets and opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary education in Business or another related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Indigenous Community and Business engagement.
- Existing contacts with Aboriginal Communities, Provincial and Federal Ministries responsible for Indigenous affairs.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and written abilities, with highly refined presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to establish clear priorities.
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License, with a 5-year driving record satisfactory to Civeo’s driving criteria.
- Travel to the sites will be required.
