Your Team
The Site Superintendent coordinates and is responsible for all site construction activities including the supervision of all field personnel (i.
e. staff and subcontractors) as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget.This includes maintaining the highest quality of workmanship while administering good construction safety practices with all in-site activities and maintaining positive relationships with trades and suppliers.
Your Key Deliverables
Control all aspects of construction for homes, from excavation to final assumption. This includes : review all drawings, site plans, take-offs and PO’s prior to commencement of construction;
prepare all cut sheets prior to excavation.
Supervision of construction activity for each home on a daily basis, ensuring all customizations ordered by the purchaser is complete.
Update and maintain construction schedules in BuildPro on a daily basis, ensuring all stages of construction are completed on time.
Coordination of labour force on site. Includes scheduling and coordinating all trades, subcontractors, suppliers and utilities for each home.
Ensure all on site trades and subcontractors comply with Ontario Building Code, and Health & Safety requirements at all times.
Coordinate all required inspections per each home (i.e. Building Department, Engineers, Region, ESA, etc.). Ensure all final inspections are complete, and we receive an Occupancy Certificate from the local Municipality, prior to closing of each home.
Monitor safety toolbox talks, safety paperwork, set up monthly safety meetings; safety paper work, filing and tracking; monthly safety meetings, minutes, follow up;
monthly trade safety record keeping.
Ensure compliance with Brookfield Homes’ Health and Safety Policy at all times on the job site. Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times ensuring that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced.
Must Haves
Minimum 5 years as a Site Superintendent, with experience in low-rise and high density Multi-family dwellings (i.e. stacked townhomes, back-to-back townhomes, etc.)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of computers and MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Excel, etc.)
Experience with BuildPro would be considered an asset.
Knowledge in reading and understanding working drawings
Safety Training Certified (e.g. Basics of Supervision, First Aid, Fall Arrest, Natural Gas, Propane, WHMIS)
Knowledge of Ontario Building Code
Experience in ordering, scheduling, quality control, and production of all phases of residential construction
Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure
