A typical day :
- Elicit business requirements using requirements gathering sessions, interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis and develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
- Lead and participate in process reviews or development and updates to or creation of associated documentation working with stakeholders, collaborating with analysts from Finance teams
- Develop test / QA and transition strategy plans and documentation
- Work closely with People Readiness team (OCM, Communications, Learning) to help identify / validate stakeholder change impacts, provide technical review of communications and contribute to training curriculum and learning content
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed : functional requirements (business requirements document), use cases, workflow diagrams, and context diagrams
Successful candidates will have :
- At least 10 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar capacity
- Direct working experience or project experience in Finance / Treasury business projects. Experience in banking projects and / or Asia-Pacific banking structure would be considered an asset
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Oil &Gas / Energy industry experience would be considered an asset
