Senior Financial Accounting Consultant

Our client in Banff is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant Consultant to join their team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient financial reporting. This is a contract position with a duration of 4–6 months, offering mostly remote and some travel is required.

Your success will be defined by your ability to :

• Manage full-cycle accounting duties and month-end closing procedures
• Monitor daily maintenance of cash accounts, bank account reconciliations
• Maintain appropriate internal controls
• Establish and maintain documentation pertaining to accounting procedures / processes as applicable to area of responsibility
• Guide and mentor junior accountant
• Provide analysis as needed on reporting variances and any ad-hoc help as needed (IE Business Interruption support)
• Oversee accounts payable process
• Prepare and file government returns and filings as needed
