Associate accountant Jobs in Oshawa, ON

Our Client is sourcing for a Corporate Accountant, 6-9 Months contract :

Responsibilities :

• Complete monthly journal entries including prepaids, inventory, liabilities, accounts receivable, fixed assets and other entries, and complete related balance sheet reconciliations
• Monitor and identify reconciling items on Balance Sheet reconciliations addressing root causes in consultation with other staff members
• Review and analyze Balance Sheet and P&L account variances / movements, and use analytical skills to assess a variety of financial data
• Support the interim / year-end audit processes, and any regulatory audits and / or local statutory audit of the financial statements
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses in support of developing financial business decisions
• Support the interim / year-end audit processes, and any regulatory and / or local statutory financial statement audits
• Work closely with the Finance team within the group of companies
• Liaise with business partners in the corporate office to ensure an effective communication process

Requirements :

3-5 years experience in a corporate accounting environment with solid technical accounting knowledge

Experience with small / mid- size entrepreneurial environment with high growth

Experience in a multi-national, multi-currency environment is an asset

Advanced Excel skills

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines

Self motivated and goal-oriented individual

Strong analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail
