What would you be doing?

A Senior Accountant is responsible for performance of general ledger accounting, preparation of financial accounts, monthly opening and closing of accounts and preparation of balance sheets. The ideal candidate demonstrates initiative in understanding process flows and controls. This role reports directly to the managers and partners of BT KDN and is responsible for :

  • Preparation of compilation, review and audit engagements
  • Preparation of corporate, personal and trust income tax returns
  • Preparation of tax slips (T3, T4, T5, etc.)
  • Identifying and resolving engagement issues.
  • Direct field work and inform manager(s) of the engagement status
  • Strong technical audit, accounting and tax skills
  • Developing and maintaining positive and productive working relationships
  • Strong commitment to professional client service excellence.
  • Collaborating to ensure we provide an integrated financial and business solution that meets our clients' need
  • Who is our ideal candidate?

  • University degree in commerce or accounting
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience at public accounting firm
  • 2 years of audit and assurance experience
  • Attained CPA designation
  • Working knowledge of CaseWare, Caseview, Taxprep, QuickBooks Online, Simply Accounting
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work and learn
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines, which can be conflicting with one another
  • A high attention to detail and accuracy
  • A desire to be an integral part of a fun team environment
