Job Description
Role :
We have an immediate opening for a Garage Door Installer Helper located in the Winnipeg branch. Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, the helper will work as part of a two-person crew, this position will assist in the service and / or installation of overhead doors while learning on the job from the Lead Technician. This role is a permanent, full-time position with opportunities for advancement.

- D&A Testing for site access or post incident
- Maintain a professional demeanor
- Out of Town work, without notice.
- Focus on quality workmanship
- Championing safety standards
- Providing superior customer service
- Working with hand tools, electric tools and ladders
- Regular interaction with warehouse staff, construction Project Managers, customers other trades and safety personnel
- Taking direction from the Lead Technician and providing support
- Actively participating in learning the trade
- General warehouse duties
- Other duties, as assigned
Skills :
Possessing resourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environmentComfortable with heights (ladders & lifts)Above average mechanical aptitudeKnowledge of overhead doors, sectional, rolling steel, high speed or specialty doors would be considered an assetIntention to learn the trade and progress to a Lead TechnicianQualifications
Qualifications :
Minimum 3 - 6 months’ experience in a relevant trade (. construction, welding, millwrightResourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environmentPossess a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstractAny relevant safety training and tickets is an asset. (WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid,Must be able to lift up to 75 poundsMust be able to work outside in all different weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat. Lifting, pulling, climbing, standing, sitting, lying down, squatting and kneeling and managing equipment and tools requiredMust be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements including drug, alcohol and health assessmentWe offer :
