Job Title : Database Systems Specialist – Aerospace Lifecycle Engineering

Location : Montreal, QC

Duration : 24 months

About the Role

We are seeking a Database Systems Specialist with expertise in database architecture, data integration, and aviation data management . This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing a Product Support Database System (PSDS) to manage critical aircraft lifecycle data .

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in database development (SQL / NoSQL, cloud-based architectures, data modeling) and the ability to integrate large-scale datasets across engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and operational systems . You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance fleet performance, predictive maintenance, and regulatory compliance through effective data management.

Key Responsibilities

Database Architecture & Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance database systems .
  • Establish efficient data structures for aircraft operational logs, maintenance history, and supply chain interactions .
  • Implement data governance policies to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility .

Data Integration & Analytics

  • Develop data pipelines to integrate information across ERP, PLM, MRO, and supply chain platforms .
  • Implement data visualization and reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or Python / R .
  • Support predictive maintenance initiatives by leveraging advanced data analytics and AI-driven insights .

    • Aviation & Aerospace Standards Compliance

  • Ensure database architecture aligns with industry regulations and aviation cybersecurity best practices .
  • Work with aviation data standards (S1000D, ATA e-Business, ARINC) to structure and manage aircraft data.
  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, quality, and production teams to ensure seamless system integration.

    • Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field .
  • Expertise in database design (SQL / NoSQL), cloud-based architectures, and data modeling .
  • Experience integrating data across ERP, PLM, MRO, and supply chain platforms .
  • Knowledge of aviation lifecycle management and fleet health monitoring .
  • Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools (Python, R, Power BI, Tableau) .
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills .

    • Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with aviation data standards (S1000D, ATA e-Business, ARINC) .

    Knowledge of machine learning and AI applications for predictive maintenance .

    Background in aerospace, defense, or complex industrial environments .
