You’ll join a dynamic sales team who have strong customer relationships and solid knowledge of service delivery within our CertainTeed Canada business.

The Senior Field Application Manager (SFAM) for CertainTeed, Saint-Gobain will be responsible for building and supporting sales within new and existing customers.

The SFAM will primarily work directly with contractors & end users to generate sales growth of CertainTeed’s (CT) portfolio of building products for interior (and where applicable exterior) products, systems and applications.

They will be responsible for planning & developing contractors brand awareness to expand CT sales and be the preferred choice within the Ontario region.

In addition, the SFAM will work in collaboration with their regional colleagues to deliver cross-functional customer planning sessions to unlock and maximize the sales opportunities across the full product portfolio including but not limited to : Finishing, Gypsum, Insulation, Hyperframe, Corners.

Key Responsabilities :

  • Develop and implement territory strategy consistent with the overall business direction to grow sales with year over year growth in multiple product categories.
  • Identify customer solutions that span across multiple product categories and cross-functional stakeholders, and collaborate effectively with our customers to help them grow their business
  • Establish and effectively manage a high sales call cycle for a diverse customer base such as contractors, builders and create pull-through demand, subsequently working with distribution customers to close related sales
  • Work collaboratively with GSD Field Sales Manager and Territory Managers to deliver sales growth by working towards securing contractors with CT brand and in conjunction with our dealer network.
  • Conducts and participates in sales promotions, training, and product knowledge sessions (PK) with contractors, builders and builder sales representative, applicators, distributors and other trade factors.
  • Monitor competitive activity and industry trends to create competitive solutions
  • Provides product knowledge to customer inquiries and develop account growth
  • Communicate promptly and regularly with the regional team on trends, opportunities, and issues
  • Supports GSD Field Sales Manager and Territory Managers and supports or promptly investigates customer complaints and makes recommendations to improve the customer experience
  • Monitor the quality of our products on job sites to ensure customers are satisfied and issues are resolved internally
  • Conduct competitive audits and benchmarking (internally and externally). Communicates with Quality and R &D.
  • Work with plants and R & D with field trials of new products
  • Participates in formalized training programs to continually improve customer experience with products
  • Delivering samples of new and existing products and following applications on job sites, some lifting of our products is required in this role.
  • Process all administrative tasks accurately and on time (Salesforce, expense accounts)
  • Ensures alignment to our Health & Safety core value by continuously evaluating our workplace for safety concerns

Your profile :

  • Five (5) years of equivalent training and related experience in the building, construction industry or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or similar discipline.
  • Five to ten (5-10) years of applied professional job site experience which includes communication with applicators and finishers.
  • Experience managing contractor relationships is strongly preferred
  • Experience cold-calling, demonstrating and converting end users to equivalent products.
  • Job site experience with a focus on developing long-term relationships with applicators.
  • Location : Remote position ; GTA, Ontario

Travel : up to 25% overnight
