What you'll do
Position Title : SAP iXp Intern - Project Coordinator
Location : Vancouver, BC
Expected Start Date : 2 January 2024
Contract Duration : 8 months
Work Hours : 40 hours per week
SAP is ready to challenge your next work term with a role that includes a multitude of tasks and responsibilities available in a fast-paced agile environment.
You will work with Senior Project Managers in SAP IT in planning and coordinating complex multi-site, agile software development projects in the area of Partner Relationship Management (PRM) applications.
Outside of regular project work, you will also assist the overall team with coordination of events, resource forecasting, staffing, and be a team-lead for six interns on the team.
- Support and lead day-to-day activities (project related and team management)
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
- Work with Scrum team and management to optimize workflow, eliminate roadblocks, and nurture continuous improvement and growth in Agile maturity
- Lead staffing, onboarding, and personal development of Agile developer interns
- Lead ad-hoc projects from initiation to closure
- Lead in planning and executing IT driven events in Vancouver site
- Lead writing articles and blogs to showcase team success stories and updates
- Assist in the planning and coordination of meetings, follow-up of action items and key issues

Skills / Competencies
- Excellent organization and time management skills with a proactive mindset, ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent communication skills in working with team members and managing stakeholder relations
- Rapidly adapt to changing circumstances and think outside the box
- Strong foundational knowledge and understanding of Agile Scrum
- Strong desire to interact with and learn from senior members of the team
- Flexibility in working with different time-zones
- Proven interest in technology through education, hobbies, self-projects, or other extracurriculars
- Prior experience or formal training in Project Management / Agile Scrum is a major asset
Educational Requirements
- Requires candidates to be currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate program, which is applicable to the position

Remote Work
This position is available on a hybrid or in-person model. However, candidates must be located within Canada and be willing to relocate to Vancouver for the duration of the internship.
