The Opportunity :

OpenText is looking for a candidate with strong Finance Applications background in an SAP-based organization to manage a diverse team having responsibility for the ongoing management and expansion of their SAP suite of ERP applications.

Your role is to provide leadership and have solution ownership for the finance solutions across SAP and the associated systems.

The right candidate will have strong system and business process knowledge and will work closely with teams to define requirements and implement solutions to meet those requirements.

In this role you will be focused managing the team that provides ongoing improvement and expansion projects as well as production support and operations.

What You Are Great At :

  • Accountability to develop and implement innovative, efficient, practical end-to-end business solutions.
  • Responsibility for solutions, evaluations, and estimates in finance and accounting-related areas for SAP and Non-SAP systems
  • Managing team members, setting and reviewing annual goals, assigning project responsibilities, coaching performance, supporting your team's growth and development, and creating conditions for a positive, motivated, high-performing team to thrive.
  • Collaborating with Sr. and Executive business stakeholders to help define and prioritize business requirements and recommending business solutions that best meet needs.
  • Scoping, estimating, planning, and initiating Finance IT projects based on IT PMO methodology.
  • Managing the full SDLC delivery of IT change requests in collaboration with other IT functional teams and Release Management.
  • Ownership of Finance applications roadmap
  • Accountable for oversight of key deliverables such as business requirements documents, functional specifications, configuration and testing documentation, monitoring and reporting on progress, and ensuring outcomes align with project objectives.
  • Supporting data conversion and maintenance activities.
  • Accountable for maintaining production support levels for relevant IT solutions through our sustainment processes.
  • Collaborating with IT leadership and enterprise application teams to research, recommend, define and prioritize new opportunities for improvement leveraging emerging technologies, methodologies and strategies.
  • Works closely with Global Business Process owners to ensure solutions meet global business requirements where applicable.

What It Takes To Excel :

  • Strong history of finance business processes, solution design, and implementation experience in SAP Finance and Accounting.
  • Solid understanding and working experience in SAP Core Modules especially Finance and Accounting configuration of SAP FICO, SAP CO-PA, and SAP FICA
  • Integrations from SAP Finance with other enterprise applications, Successfactors, Salesforce will be beneficial
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment with excellent communication skills and ability to build "Trusted Advisor" relationships within the business community.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience directly leading IT teams and associated IT activities.
  • 3 to 5 years' hands-on experience working as an SAP Finance professional on IT projects with SAP applications.
  • Ability to operate in complex, fast-paced project environment with interdependencies spanning multiple work-streams, teams, business divisions, geographies, time zones, & language.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of leadership and delivery teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to provide updates to leadership; adept at building relationships with IT peers as well as Sr Business Leaders.
  • Expert-level proficiency in MS Office (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and SharePoint;
  • Experience with technology and software industry is an asset.
  • Strong financial business acumen. Accounting designation is an asset.
  • Experienced in at least 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations.
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, Computer Science, or a related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with SAP
  • 15+ years relevant experience
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
