Indoor Climate Specialists at World Of Comfort Ltd.
- Responsible for performing mechanical system inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs as required to ensure efficient, safe and reliable HVAC, boiler and piping systems
- Responsible for ensuring that all safety and operational procedures are followed during work performance
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings or other specifications
- Responsible for measuring and lay out reference points for installation
- Responsible for assembly and installation of furnace, air conditioning and boiler components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressors using hand and power tools
- Responsible for measurement and cut piping and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
- Responsible for installing, troubleshooting and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Responsible for starting-up system and test for leaks using testing devices
- Responsible for recharging system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system and perform routine maintenance or servicing
- Responsible for repairing and replacing parts and components for entire furnace, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems
- Provide direction and examples to Junior Technicians to facilitate their learning
- Responsible for ensuring that Junior Technician’s work is complete and follows code
- Responsible for all administrative and logistical duties associated with position and jobsite
- Responsible for ensuring customer is informed of system
- Responsible for ensuring customer is informed of all maintenance and protection plans and associated WOC material
- Any other duties and responsibilities as required
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience related to the duties listed above, normally acquired through the completion of a Grade 12 diploma and 3-5 years residential / commercial mechanical systems and equipment experience.A valid Class G drivers licence and possess a good driving recordTSSA Certificate of Qualification as a Gas Technician and a valid G2 Gas Fitters LicenseCertificate of Qualification as a 313A or D Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic requiredCertificate of Qualification as a 308A Sheet Metal Mechanic an assetAbility to work as a leader and to provide guidance and example to Junior TechniciansExcellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to deal with internal and external contacts in a courteous and efficient mannerMust be able to perform physical work (e.g. lifting, walking, climbing, push and pull and working in all types of weather conditions)Ability to work independently and within a team environmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsMust be able to work in confined spaces and high areasKnowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety ActSeniority level
