More specifically, you may be called upon to :
- Step in and support library teams in the absence of the regularly assigned Librarian Educator
- Be current in content management practices, industry relevant technologies, and library resources
- Work collaboratively with library peers to identify opportunities, implement standards, and support the current Library Services activities and initiatives
- Lead through measured decision-making
- Deliver outcome supported committee / teamwork goals and project planning and implementation
- Train users in new and emerging technologies
- Assume the role of site lead supporting the work of Library staff reporting to that site if needed
- Travel within the province for assigned duties , Valid driver’s license required
About You

ALA accredited Master of Library and Information Services / Master of Information requiredA minimum of 3 years responsible experience in a hospital library or equivalent setting, a medical research library, or an Academic Health Sciences Library is requiredCommitment to attain the credential within one year of employment to Membership in the Academy of Health Professionals (AHIP) (preferred), Canadian College of Health Leaders, or an approved equivalent credentialCurrent in content management practices, industry relevant technologies, and library resourcesKnowledge of Microsoft Office products.Knowledge of publishing software such as Adobe InDesign, Articulate e-learning software, etc.Knowledge of health information resources (i.e. PubMed, NLM, LCSH) is an assetApplication of plain language standards supporting patient care quality outcomesWorking knowledge of content management software, such as SpringshareAbility to develop working relationships with counterparts within and outside the organizationWorking knowledge of intellectual property legislation and regulations, including copyright, database licensingExperience with current and emerging web design and mobile technologies such as CANVA, XML / XSLT, HTML / CSS, Bootstrap, PHP / MySQL, Python, APIsStrong organizational and time management skills and ability to meet deadlinesExcellent communication skills both oral and written are necessary including the ability to present academic and technical aspects of research subject matter in a group or individual settingSkills and experience in promoting learning cultures that nurture equity, diversity and inclusivity with a focus on intersectional values, analysis, and actions, clinical humility, and the responsible use of power and privilege.Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferredPlease ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.

Compensation and Incentives
35.09 - $44.10 hourly
68, - $85, annually
