Mac-Weld Machining Ltd. is seeking a Production Scheduler to take on the task of sharing our vision locally and globally.

The production scheduler is responsible for determining and setting daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing schedules.

Skills & Responsibilities

  • Work with Production Manager to plan and coordinate production schedules in the most efficient manner.
  • Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
  • Ensure that materials and equipment are prearranged for production.
  • Monitor workflow and schedules to ensure on-time delivery through the use of internal manufacturing systems (E2 & Order Status).
  • Review production specifications and identify and report shop capacity constraints.
  • Provide order status updates and fulfill expedite requests for Sales team and their customers in a timely manner.
  • Work with Production Managers to develop potential solutions to improve production performance.
  • Develop effective scheduling processes to achieve production objectives.
  • Manage time efficiently while working on several different tasks at once.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a College diploma.
  • 2-3 years production experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands of production from customers and team member issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize priorities based on deadlines and importance of tasks.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities :

  • Manufacturing and Office environment
  • Occasional overtime
  • Exposure to dust, vibrations, noise
  • Tight Deadlines
  • Standing and sitting for long periods of time.
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Lifting heavy material up to 50 lbs.
  • Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment when required.

This is a full-time permanent position in our Sarnia facility.

Salary : $41600 $58240 per year

Signing Bonus : New regular employees will receive a signing bonus of $500 after successfully completing their three month probationary period, and $1000 after one year of continuous employment.

The employee must be on active payroll for the entire timeframe to qualify. Contract positions do not qualify for the signing bonus.
