Randstad Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Director of Operations for a great manufacturing company with a family feel located in the north-east of Winnipeg.

Do you have previous Operations Management and Leadership experience in the Manufacturing industry? Do you enjoy leading / mentoring people and ensuring day-to-day operations are running smoothly? Are you a team player and looking to join like-minded individuals? Are you a great communicator with good interpersonal skills?

Do you have a valid driver's license, access to your own vehicle, and can pass a criminal background check? Are you ok travelling within the US and Canada?

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations for 3 manufacturing facilities (2 in Manitoba and one in the US)
  • Directly reporting to the General Manager
  • Overseeing several departments such as Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality Control
  • Assessing and improving business processes for several departments
  • Collaborate with the General Manager in developing business plans and budgets
  • Project Management
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an Operations Manager in a manufacturing environment is mandatory (2+ years)
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong Leadership skills with great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications as well as SAP
  • Own vehicle is required and the ability to travel within the US and Canada
  • Ability to work with great attention to detail and high accuracy
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
